I'm the PP at 20:53. What I know is that DeSantis has never been tested politically outside his little Florida cocoon. I also know that in polls of Republican voters he consistently comes in second after Donald Trump - even in Florida. And now he has made an enemy of Disney. None of these things are really giving off a warm glow of success.
This was a couple of days ago in a Florida diner - Fox's Brian Kilmeade can't find anyone to support DeSantis over Trump.

+1. Disney employs a lot of lawyers and marketing specialists. They don't need to buy DeSantis off. They will simply intervene in the politics of the state and bury him so deep he may have to leave Florida to see the light of day in politics again.

I’ve had to deal with them for theatre contracts and
I hate them.
They hold grudges.

Disney's problem is all the land. Disney set up long ago, when the land was cheap and plentiful. They got a special local government arrangement because there was no adequate local government, no services, no utilities or infrastructure. Disney built all of it. Trying to replicate that somewhere else in America would be difficult. DeSantis is a bastard. Disney should sue Florida and DeSantis for all they are worth.
There is plenty of land available and the locals will give them a better deal if Disney shopped around. The thing is the parks are not a large part of the revenues.
The theme parks are the largest part of Disney revenue. It's not streaming. The theme parks are holding Disney stock from falling to $50.00. Streaming revenue, or lack thereof is killing Disney.
DP but as a theme park fanatic, I can tell you both things are true. Theme parks lose money on ticket sales, but make money on merchandise, restaurants, alcohol, hotels, etc.

How do you move multiple theme parks. You are not being serious. The only thing Disney can do is keep their corporate offices and decision making in California. Disney should halt the transfer of many of their employees to Orlando from Anaheim. The theme parks are permanent, but Disney can stop the building in Florida.
