But they don't let players around here just choose to play up.

No incorrect. It has nothing to do with that.

It all depends on when school districts choose to make their cutoff dates. The latest Ive heard is Nov. Which means the most players would need to be is 16 months younger than Aug 1st. There are very few schools like this. 99% of schools start by Sept which would be 14 months younger at most.
Tough break. Mid March and no DC club said they are forcing grade year on August kids only.

It's over. Top teams set.

So you've seen rosters posted? Id love to review players graduating year.
Only ECNL rosters list self reported grade, and many are wrong. Other teams don't bother to know kids grades and don't post. We do know DMV clubs posted that playing up is limited to being related and based on skill not grade.

Ya, players looking to get recruited often enter the wrong graduating year so college coaches will ignore them.

🤣😂🤣😂
Not every kid on ECNL roster cares about recruiting.

Then why play ECNL or GA or MLS or whatever?

It's so obvious that you are a know it all littles parent. (with an agenda to encourage playing down)
They clearly are playing soccer to annoy and thwart a random parent on DCUM who wants to go grade year to make his Sept girl the oldest on her team.

Whatever floats your boat.

Funny that you think scrolling through ECNL rosters online gets kids recruited. Recruits reaching out to school is what it takes not other way around.

Fall 2026

U18/U19 = ≤ 8/1/2007 - 7/31/2009 ~ Senior
U17 = ≤ 8/1/2009 - 7/31/2010 ~ Senior
U16 = ≤ 8/1/2010 - 7/31/2011 ~ Junior
U15; 8/1/2011 - 7/31/2012 ~ Sophomore
U14; 8/1/2012 - 7/31/2013 ~ Freshman
U13; 8/1/2013 - 7/31/2014 ~ 8th
U12; 8/1/2014 - 7/31/2015 ~ 7th
U11; 8/1/2015 - 7/31/2016 ~ 6th
U10; 8/1/2016 - 7/31/2017~ 5th
U9; 8/1/2017 - 7/31/2018 ~ 4th
U8; 8/1/2018 - 7/31/2019 ~ 3rd
U7; 8/1/2019 - 7/31/2020 ~ 2nd
U6; 8/1/2020 - 7/31/2021 ~ 1st

Its also humorous that you obviously dont understand how gade cutoffs work. All your grades are off by one. You're trying to spin a narative and dont understand math.

This is for next fall when SY starts.

11v11 = U18/U19 = ≤ 8/1/2007 ~ Senior
11v11 = U17 = ≤ 8/1/2009 ~ Junior
11v11 = U16 = ≤ 8/1/2010 ~ Sophmore
11v11 = U15 = ≤ 8/1/2011 ~ Freshman
11v11 = U14 = ≤ 8/1/2012 ~ 8th grade
11v11 = U13 = ≤ 8/1/2013 ~ 7th grade
9v9/11v11 = U12 = ≤ 8/1/2014 ~ 6th grade
9v9 = U11 = ≤ 8/1/2015 ~ 5th grade
9v9 = U10 = ≤ 8/1/2016 ~ 4th grade
7v7 = U9 = ≤ 8/1/2017 ~ 3rd grade
7v7 = U8 = ≤ 8/1/2018 ~ 2nd grade
4v4 = U7 = ≤ 8/1/2019 ~ 1st grade
4v4 = U6 = ≤ 8/1/2020 ~ Kindergarten
Find a rule that says sophomore can't play U15. If you can't, your grades are off.

The ~ means approximately.

Approximately means the level ABOVE, below, or correct level.

What you wrote is incorrect because by defining the upper bound and ~ there needs to be a level above and there isnt because its not possible.
