I was just reading about this film yesterday as I was looking at Oscar nomination list. Does anyone know where to stream it? It looks beautiful and powerful.

I realize that the narrative of "Zelensky is a grifter" is a key Russian propaganda point that the far right has bought hook, line and sinker, but do you have any evidence that you can share . . .

I also want Ukraine to win, but I feel uncomfortable with the democracy framing ever since Zelenskyy canceled the election and simply retained power. And don't tell me war time is different; the US had an election during the civil war!


Right? Because the confederacy was also using drones and missiles to attack northern voters in 1864. Totally not different.


I'm not sure the meaning of democracy becomes its antonym just because war is now a high-tech affair. You can say it's good that Zelenskyy canceled the elections, but seems hard to say it's democratic and muttering something about drones is the lamest of excuses.

Russia already lost. They failed to take the capital of their next door neighbor and had their economy/military decimated in the process.


Decimated means lost 10%.
Ukraine has lost about that much of its land area. Russia probably considers it a reasonable trade if they get a land connection to Crimea.
