I swear her early promo stuff described 10 yrs experience, but I can't find it, so she maybe dropped it.
It’s been scrubbed. The only remaining evidence is the wording of Beth Arthur’s endorsement.

Thought Sandy would have had that one locked up.
Cristina was hand-picked by the AC/DC. The AEA doesn’t endorse even mildly controversial candidates, always the incumbent. They endorsed Lander in 2017.
Very interesting, thank you! I still would have pegged Sandy as the least controversial candidate out there and, coupled with her extensive educational background, she seemed a very logical choice to get the endorsement. I think she's pretty much a lock to get one of the SB seats.
I do not believe Sandy could be considered even mildly controversial. Wasn't she an AEA member? Perhaps she doesn't support collective bargaining for teachers?
I didn’t mean to say controversial in her positions, but she’s not a lock to win one of the two spots. I think the AEA is pretty sure Cristina is a lock, given her support from much higher up in the Dem party, even outside Arlington (for reasons that have nothing to do with our local SB). They endorse the presumptive winner, so they don’t make an enemy.
Now, I'm interested! Which big-name Dems are supporting her? Did she cozy up to Pelosi while interning in the house? I wouldn't be opposed to Arlington receiving more federal dollars for education![]()

Can't she stay on the SB until she sees if she wins the CB seat?
Yes, and she won’t resign unless she wins. But come on, she’s going to win.

And only Cristina. I've not been as impressed by Sandy as are others on here, but I am surprised they didn't endorse her too. Cristina is young and less experienced than others, but the experience she has impressed the teachers. And I think she has the best information online. I'm going with Cristina, Sandy, and Terron for my top three.
I'm a teacher and parent. My husband and I always vote for the AEA endorsed candidates. I'll likely choose Sandy or David as my second choice.
[eye roll] "I only vote Democrat." "I only vote Republican."
People need to think for themselves. That blind thinking is what got us the current occupant in the White House.
In my opinion, its the type of hate that folks on here direct at Symone and Cristina that got us the current occupant in the White House. Not that Hillary didn't have flaws.
Not PP, but that makes no sense. All the candidates running are Dems. All of them. If we don’t like something about one of those two, or any of the others, there are other DEM candidates to choose from. I don’t think any R candidates will stand up after the caucus, so it’s not like anyone is going to NOT vote for whoever the nominee is and then some R candidate, who doesn’t exist, will win.
My biggest qualm with Cristina is that I feel like the SB is just a stepping stone to larger ambitions. I want someone who will take positions and vote based on their beliefs and experience, rather than how it might play at some future point. I also don’t like that she hasn’t lived here for very long, and doesn’t have any direct experience in our school system as a parent or teacher or administrator. She seems smart and highly capable, so I wouldn’t panic if she were elected. I would probably not mind her on the CB. I just don’t think she’s the right fit for the SB at this point in time.

Anonymous wrote:I thought I would dislike Cristina more from what I've read in all of these posts. But her site is the best, she's endorsed by Dems that I like, and the teachers think she is better than Sandy who I presume was an AEA member? I finally have my ballot! I'm going 1) Cristina 2) Sandy 3) Terron 4) David 5) Steven. Like Cristina, I'm sure Steven isn't as bad as some folks make him out to be but his emails bother me.
