It actually seems inevitable

Tesla has been a stock worth buying and holding for a long time now. People keep hoping that the brand will fail but that doesn’t seem likely.

It's really good to see the recognition of Tesla's self driving system. I have watched it improve with every new download and it is truly amazing. It looks like the Chinese like the Tesla.

^ From the article:

Quick overview
Tesla shares surged to around $430, driven by strong earnings, improving sales in China, and a significant safety milestone for the Model Y.
The Model Y became the first vehicle to pass new advanced driver-assistance system evaluations, enhancing Tesla's reputation for safety and innovation.
Investor confidence was bolstered by a 36% year-over-year increase in vehicle sales from Tesla's Shanghai facility, despite some domestic sales challenges.
Analysts are beginning to shift sentiment positively, with UBS upgrading Tesla from 'sell' to 'neutral', reflecting improved operational performance and margin recovery.

Not sure they’d look to fondly on steering any contracts to Tesla after DOGE and all that stuff. Just food for thought op. lol. I know you don’t like folks with “TDS” or whatever, but just looking at polling and things and how usually 80% of election wins have gone historically in similar times.

There is a simple solution to the Tesla problem, allow BYD sales in the US.

No thanks. It will be a while before I trust my family to a Chinese made steel coffin.

You're ok with Nazi oligarchs, others should be able to take their chances with the communists.

That would crush the entire domestic auto industry in under 10 years.

So? Everyone has cheered on the President every time he crushes an industry. Rather have the best tech at the cheapest price.

LOL! Wonder why BYD are cheap? You think they'll stay that way if they blow up in the US market. You need to actually think ahead a smidge.

Where are our Tesla bulls at? Time to put more money amirite?

Is SpaceX bulk purchase of cybertruck self dealing? Would it still be profitable without out that subsidy??

Cybertruck sales are a very small portion of their sales. Not substantive.

But is it a large part of profits. Like the model 3 could be sold break even but make up huge part of revenue; meanwhile, all the profit could come from revenue sliver for cybertruck.

Ha ha no they are losing so much on those trucks because of how small the production has been- no economies of scale. It's a disaster of a product.
