If you have a Gen Z daughter or niece ask her what her and her friends think of Sex and the City. They will say the women look super old and it’s so sad and gross they’re all single, partying, and hooking up with randoms. Most Gen Z girlies want to be married with a house by 25. That is a real pivot from what Gen X and Y trends.

It has been us vs them since the first page.
The Project 2025 crowd is trying to push their crazy on everyone else.
I don't see anyone saying women shouldn't have higher education, career, reproductive autonomy, financial independence etc. Only point is that they should be able to marry anytime after college if they prefer and have their ducks in a row, without being looked down upon as child bride by people pushing late marriages and geriatric pregnancies.

Was this ever aspirational, though? I was in college during SATC’s heyday and while my friends and I loved the show and were entertaining by it, none of us actually wanted that kind of life for ourselves. We all married between 24-28, most of us have grad degrees and careers in addition to happy marriages with kids.

Don’t forget glorifying abortions. I think it boils down to wanting everyone as broken as they are. Imagine being triggered on a visceral level when you see two beautiful young adults getting married. These people are sick, miserable, and dark hearted.
I actually glorify abortion. It’s pretty cool that a woman who is carrying a non-viable fetus, experiencing an ectopic pregnancy or who was raped at age 12 could terminate her pregnancy. I also don’t live in la la land and rely on strange moral platitudes. But have fun believing the earth is less than 10,000 years old and women dying child birth is the right thing or whatever you’re into.
