I have heard this is definitely going to happen.
What are the exact rules no idea and they are still working on the language that will be used as they don’t want it abused with 20 year old stuff.
The goal of it is to align kids with their grade for tournament purposes only to help make college recruiting more efficient.
If you are mad at about it no reason to argue with me because I don’t make the rules.
This will not be needed once SY happens this fall and Aug birthdays are playing on their correct grade in school team.
This is because when Aug birthdays are playing on their correct grade in school team eveyone on the field is the same grade (graduating year). Which is what college coaches want.
Holdbacks can play HS soccer and attend college camps/ids. They are also welcome to play on the correct age team whatever that is.
So "forcing" Aug birthdays to play against players potentially 13 months older is somehow worse than FORCING correct grade players to play against holdbacks up
to 36 months older?
Just admit that youre a hypocrite.
Telling how you want to attack all kids playjng on a correct grade team withh players upto 36 months older via allowing holdbacks to play down.
Ok 👍 its and Anonymous forum and the guy pushing for GY showcases tries to manipulate numbers and dates all the time. It gets old calling the dubious math out.

Im sorry for asking this, it is just tiring that the delusional August troll has to try to make everyone against what they want as the boogyman.
I guess… I also broke some new on the old forum that got shut down because of all the comments. I have a friend who works for USYS as well as other ECNL club directors.
From what I understand this would be mostly to break up the U19 group
For showcase stuff because tournaments/showcases will be U17 skip U18 and add this kids in with U19. Like in years past. But now they will allow the kids who are eligible for U18 based off the new age matrix to either stay in U19 or goto U17 if they are a current Junior only.
I know nothing of forcing kids to play their grade but rather this is just to align better if kids/coaches would prefer that option. Not for league play is what I’m told. They will have to stay U19 for that.
We will see how it all gets finalized as everyone has a lot on their plate currently…
See ya I’ll be back in a few days or so.
So... Cuting through the nonsense. Because you're able to hold back kids 2x in school.
u17 showcases become u19
u19 showcases become u21?
Incredible magic trick.
Not what they said and you’re a tool.
If they are eligible for U18 that means they are 17 and turning 18 at so point during the season. So a U18 December kid would be 17 for a showcase between Aug to November.
Stop making things crazy like you.
if players are allowed to play down because of GY Showcases u17 becomes u19 and u19 becomes u21.
Seems very clear
