Jeff has removed quite a few posts for being racist/misogynistic/doubting about whether mental health issues are real health issues.
I’ve been watching this thread like a Hawk. Even the posts that have been removed were not even a tiny tiny tiny bit racist. Zero. Zero.
There is no racism on this thread. I know that does not fit your narrative, but it’s the truth.

I blame the media for continuing to focus on her. She’s done. Move onto the other athletes.
Simone needs to step away from gymnastics now. That’s the only way to stop the media attention. At the very least, she needs to step back for a couple years and pivot to something else.

Attacking a woman who survived a drug addicted birth mother, foster care, years of sexual abuse and gaslighting to rise to the top of her sport and stayed in to protect others, who pushed her body past known limits of physics and is always positive in her messages to young girls and women, you may want to re-asses your life.
Ludicrous. Please tell me you're in a non-tech field.

JFC why does it always come down to skin color?
+1. Also, no one is above criticism. It’s part of life, especially if you willingly put yourself in the public sphere. Just because you are famous or rich or powerful or athletic, it doesn’t make you better than other people.
If we are not allowed to criticize anyone other than ourselves we should also not be allowed to praise anyone other than ourselves, right?
Most of the people criticizing Simone Biles are mediocre people and non-gymnasts. So, it's kind of like a fat blob criticizing the way LeBron James handled a play. It's pretty meaningless.
Simone Biles competed at the World Championships while passing a kidney stone. Don't talk to me about this woman's toughness. She is 24-years old, which sadly is really old for a gymnast, and she has pushed the limits of gymnastic further than anyone who has preceded her.
Every. Single. Gymnast. who has chimed in has said why it was right for Simone to withdraw. Being off in gymnastics with the level of speed and height they work with, it can be life-threatening to be off.

You don’t know anything about the people criticizing Biles, yet you feel free to judge them and deem them “mediocre.” But god forbid anyone judge the famous, rich lady for anything she does. GMAFB. You may worship at the altar of celebrity, but many of us don’t and never will.

Biles has achieved a tremendous amount in her young life, which is all to her credit. She doesn’t need your pity, and I doubt she even wants it.
