"Grandma" is an mentality thing, not age. It's meant if you are stuck in the past.

e.g., My mom isn't "grandma" but my SIL is. And she's 35 years younger.

It's a stupid insult that makes you look weak-minded.

If you roll up acting like a know-it-all with outdated information, I have no problem with it. Like the poster wh called an OP a "liar" for knowing the sex of her baby at 10 weeks. (Which is entirely possible now.) Or the lady who recently told me I was gross for breastfeeding in public...uh, hi, we have nursing covers now.

Don't start none, won't be none.

I'm not sure that is a generational problem. It might be just uninformed. Plenty of people are STILL uncomfortable with BF in public (which I don't understand at all) I'm in my middle 50s and both nursed in public and had CVS testing at 13 weeks.

DP. If you can't make your point without using 'grandma' as an insult, your point is weak.

The poster who doesn’t let their mom use their master bathroom to poop.

I don’t do this but kind of enjoy it. It’s like one of those surprise goody bags at the church fair. Maybe it’s just something boring but maybe it’s a yo-yo! I’ll click and find out.

I used to think that until I tried Whole 30.

I don’t completely avoid that stuff now but I have cut out 90% of it. It’s not that hard.

DP. The Whole 30 people are beyond annoying too, especially because 99.9% of them won't keep Whole 30 up for a year.

Happy to be of service.

6 months in with whole 30 (90%) and still loving it. Zero cravings. Feel great. No more rosacea or heart burn. Dropped lots of weight.

Don't knock it until you try it.

Equally annoying though are the posters who insist on offering advice when an OP has not asked for it. Or who will keep asking OP to provide more specifics about “her question” so they can provide better advice, but the thread topic is something like “What do think about split level homes?” and is clearly meant to be just an open discussion.

Some people seem to come here to tell people how to live their lives, whether anyone is asking it not.
