Was it u14? They had covid issues last week- had to cancel their trip to Jefferson cup. May be residual issues with that.

Any additional info you can provide? I assume you’re ecnl u14 or below and was expecting to play in montgomery county? Wooton? Walter Johnson?

Interesting to hear local league games were cancelled- were you given a reason?

Moco is pretty crazy when it comes to covid restrictions. Still not allowing spectators at any games. Maybe that’s why?

And sorry- but in a covid world booking non refundable accommodations is kinda silly.

Will still need to attend tryouts. But having a coach know your kid prior to tryouts is key.

Their website lists the coaches. Send an email to the coach of your kid’s age group and ask to attend a couple practices. Your kid can get a feel for the players and coach, and the coach can evaluate your kid at the practices.

Everyone get a grip on these young kids. What happened to 2003?

I don’t think they called out a player , maybe they think the kids are disappointed. Either way covid is a mess and just a shame all around. What age group again? 2008 or 2007? They young enough to get over it and have many years to play

Current ecnl roster is 22+. Some will be dropped down. Some will jump ship to be on top team.
It’s inevitable.

Some of the ecnl rl team will drop down to 3rd.

2006 is DEEP. 2005 also. 2006 RL is mediocre

Perhaps that’s a question better suited for those players than conjecture on a public forum.

I'm the most covid skeptical person there is. I think the world's reaction has been hysterical and damaging, and people are terrified for very little reason. I'm not bothered about getting it, nor do I care if my kids get it. I don't think anybody should wear a mask anywhere, nor try to force others to do so.

Even so, I would not send my child to practice if they were sick.

So why Bethesda doesn't act on these people?

I would bet they did. Can you imagine how mad the other parents on the team would be?
