Thanks for the info. We also like the wide plank width (7.5”) but will also look at lighter options once we get to the design center. We are partial to wood over other flooring options, but that’s just personal preference.

The design center was a bit disappointing in their flooring options. It was either too dark or very light. The LVP colors looked very good, but we prefer engineered hardwood ideally. They also have fair amount of variation between planks with EH, but that’s a personal preference. You can always order a sample from the manufacturer...I think it’s Shaw for some of the EH floors.


Would love to hear your thoughts on LVT versus engineering woods as alternatives because of cost constraints. A friend of mine just put LVT in her basement and it looks and feels quite nice. Am hesitating though to have it on the main floor.


I’m not the OP, but it might impact your resale value. Most purchasers at these prices points are likely going to want hardwood over LVT on the main level.


I think this is true but I will say that LVT (I've heard LVPlank) is pretty commonplace with a lot of new home builds, even the 1M+ ones. A lot of folks prefer it to hardwood from an aesthetic pov. I agree in general, though, wood is always nice - doesn't bother me.

- Facing #3S in lieu of standard (doesn't specify stone, tile, etc): $4,695

To the other poster on the outdoor fireplace - yes, it is $8,299

That option is not sold through design center and would have needed to be chosen when home purchased at sales center.

no just for floor 1 upgrade .. For full house it is way to expensive
