It's not offensive, it was bizarre. And he was not talking about the obesity epidemic when he said that.

Do you feel nauseated when you come up with these arguments?

Trump was complaining after the debate that he was given a defective microphone and that it was possibly done on purpose. Also, he was scheduled to speak at a rally organized by the Nassau County Republicans after the debate but didn't show. This doesn't seem like a guy who believes he won the debate.

Yeah, apparently prepared and calm makes you arrogant. Which describes many successful people. Though not all -- Trump is arrogant without being either prepared or calm. (Nothing says arrogant like believing you can win a debate without any preparation.)

They think Hillary is sane, intelligent, and experienced politician, that Donald is a racist lunatic and a buffoon, and that Americans are nuts to even be debating which would be the better president. No one thinks this is a hard choice but us.

I thought Holt was biased against Trump with all the "gotcha" questions - hiding taxes, birther issue, supportimg the Iraq war, etc. Where were the questions to Hillary about hiding/destroying emails after they were subpoened, VOTING for the Iraq war, lying to the parents of Benghazi (and her going MIA there), her unwillingness to disclose her Wall Street speeches, etc.

And finally, no question about illegal immigration? He skirted the single most issue that is attracting voters to Trump, while Hillary brags about all the illegal immigrants getting taxpayer funding for college.

Definitely a biased moderator.

I am really really trying to be open-minded, but I feel like I was watching a different debate than some of you. I saw a poised, prepared, experienced candidate who gave specific policy platforms, used humor appropriately and seriousness besides, who spoke eloquently about important issues, who held her poise when she was provoked, who paid attention to the debate rules but pushed only slightly when she needed to. She didn't come across to me as arrogant or untrustworthy in the least. She looked like exactly what I want in a President.

Versus, a person who gave rambling, incoherent statements that were frequently conflicting and hypocritical even in the same sentence, wo was clearly unprepared and nervous (the amount of movement and water drinking and sniffling was a dead giveaway), who was rude to everyone, who repeatedly lied about things that were easy to confirm, who made racist comments and gave no specific policy ideas and who admitted he pays no federal taxes and has repeatedly filed for bankruptcy.

the main one that gets me is people who think she was arrogant last night. I think she could have been arrogant given who she was debating against, but I didn't read arrogance even a little.

My read is that Hillary won on points but the performances of both candidates will not change the minds of a single one of their hard core supporters. So when he asked the question as to where she was the last thirty years in terms of making the needed changes, that will resonate with some of these undecided voters. It really does not matter if she was really in a position to effect changes in the roles she had in public life - most undecided voters will likely decide that she is not going to make the needed changes.

Trump achieved what he needed to do in this debate given that the bar he had to overcome was lower for him. Some of what he says at a visceral level is the sort of stuff that many voters actually do feel and he gives voice to their thoughts.

Yes, I did - what do you disagree with in terms of what I stated? Hardcore supporters of both candidates think their candidate won. It is the undecided or those whose opinions can be changed who will decide this election.
