Well the majority in the USA are white. They just have Spanish surnames. Change Ted Cruz’s surname to Ted Cruise and he is Tom Cruise white uncle from Nebraska. Hispanics come in all races. For all the world to see, Pope Francis is a white man, but in the USA is looked upon as Hispanic

To prepare for the workers arrival, including renovating housing on her property to bring it up to code, Carlson has already spent $200,000 of her own money that she was expecting to get reimbursed under her grant’s contract. Without that money in her bank account, she doesn’t expect to have the funds to pay her existing staff to get through the growing season.


Why does she get to renovate her home at the expense of tax payers. I hope the grant is permanently cancelled. This is the abuse and fraud that needs to be addressed.

Isn't this where MAGA comes in and says she should pay more and hire American workers? But, wait, that would mean that taxpayers are providing jobs for American workers. It's almost like the government "owns" the farm by providing jobs. Isn't that called... "communism" or some such?

I'm glad they are being targeted now. They are the biggest hypocrites when it comes to refugee status. They don't want Venezuelans, Haitians immigrants/refugees, yet most of them or their ancestors came here as refugees/immigrants.

This story is bonkers—she is planning to spend $400k (from the govt) to fly 10 workers in from Guatemala to pick her cherries for a few months. Maybe she should call DOGE to help her cut costs.
