some people can't believe anyone would pass up a top ranked lax program for a low ranked ivy
some people can't believe anyone would pass up a D1 program for a high academic D3
some people want to go to the program that can get them the lowest cost
everyone has different priorities - the issue is truly that it is very difficult to be in someone else's shoes
congrats to everyone and yet again for those of us 26 parents that are still looking for the right fit - "comparison is the thief of joy"

Very Debatable. A couple of duds in there and no Princeton, or Cornell, no Boston College, no Northwestern, or Stanford, UNC…. It’s a great list but not the best ever.
Hold your horses! There's a Capital Blue Princeton Commit in the mix! For many players lacrosse rankings are about as important as last week's laundry. Quite a few girls had offers from those schools you mentioned; they just decided to take a different road. The top 10 players in Capitol could have strutted their stuff at any of those schools if they wanted.
Why settle for Boston College when you can aim for the Ivy League? Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, or even Duke — now that's a buffet of choices! Especially if lacrosse rankings don't even tickle your fancy.
I'm beginning to believe the AI typing accusation....buffet? last week's laundry? strutted their stuff?

It's not.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Literally no one has said any of those things. I think you are referring to one post that someone made that although poorly worded may have been kinda true… meaning maybe those top programs did have interest in them but they chose to go Ivy instead. I have not seen this point being made repeatedly though. Just once that can recall.
This has been going on for a month, not just today. First it was a couple girls, now it's 10. Make the madness stop.
The 2 highest rated players are going to Denver and Fla State. That tracks. And they are not Ivies. And it's not a coincidence.
If you want less pushback from the peanut gallery, it would largely just take not claiming the lightning rod squad is the best at everything.
What tracks is that Capital has eight players heading to top 30 programs, five of which are ivies. Pushback however you want. These are great stats by any definition. Parents and parents are right to be proud.
I see what you are referring to now. Good job getting to the bottom of it. I agree UNC would be amazing for lax, academics and $. I doubt anyone would pass that up.

Well, well, well, if the future of Capital Blue isn't shining brighter than a supernova!
They've got the crème de la crème with Harvard, Princeton, and Yale- talk about a brainy brunch. And let's not forget the charming Mercer, the sun-kissed Florida State, and the scenic hills of Virginia Tech that are practically begging for a postcard. Then we have the elite air of Duke, the woodsy charm of Dartmouth, and who could overlook the
fantastic Midwest marvel that is Michigan?
Rounding it all out are the venerable Holy Cross and the historic charm of William & Mary. And wait, there's more! We're talking about the vibrant buzz of Columbia University, the artsy, outdoorsy vibe of the University of Oregon, and let's not skip over the mile-high mountain city of Denver- truly a smorgasbord of commitments that's sure to make anyone's head spin!
🤣🤣🤣
don't you love this? Just have to add to it when the remaining recruits decide so we have a whole poem. I think I'll print it off and get it framed for the team!
