They set a ton of rules/restrictions and had it moderated by a network and individuals who are very anti-Trump. I’m assuming they thought this would be enough to make Trump back out and look bad.

Steal the election? Someone stole the election from Biden and it wasn’t Trump. Biden clearly isn’t and hasn’t been acting as President for a long while, perhaps the whole term. Republicans look better after all this, which should have been really hard to do.
