Then he was picked by Trump to run for the Senate and less than 2 years into that gig, he's now running for VP.
He has only stayed long enough at any given gig to know that he isn't very good at it. And then he jumps ship before anyone else finds out he is no good at what he does. He's like a version of the guy from Catch Me If You Can, Frank, Abagnale.
My guess for why he's done the 180 about-face on Trump and been consumed by die-hard conservative views is that he knows that Trump is going senile and he wants to be the one to inherit the MAGA Conspiracy Cartel. He's trying to sell himself as the heir apparent to the Q-Anons, MAGA, Neo Nazis, White Supremacists, AntiSemites, HandMaiden's Tale, Christian Fundamentalist Basket of Deplorables. This is Trump's last hurrah and Vance wants to become the figurehead of the movement.
You gloss over his connections to intel, billionaire neocons, neocon think tanks, Amy and Jed, Axelrod, CNN, his boring fictionalized memoir when he hadn’t done a damn thing in life, NYTimes pumping the book, and a $40M Netflix movie. His placement in public relations in the marines was itself intel adjacent if not intel cover. He’s a Manchurian created in a lab.

My nephew graduated from a state school in two years because he took enough classes at the local community college during high school that he graduated with an associate’s degree in addition to his high school diploma. Not sure if that’s what Vance did though.
I’d bet JD was enrolled in community college courses while on a desk in North Carolina. He doesn’t write or talk about this because it underscores how fake and bullshit his time in the marines was.

I am from Ohio. He went up against Tim Ryan who actually has better policies for Ohio. Unfortunately, Thiel put up so much money for Vance. Ryan just couldn’t keep up. Tech bros have infiltrated Ohio. Shocking that nothing is getting better in Ohio.

Exactly. No one suggested that’s the only thing suburban women care about. Yet he plainly said he thinks it’s abnormal to care about reproductive rights. That’s … nuts. I can’t speak for men but I think you’d be hard pressed to find any woman over the age of 18 who hasn’t thought about reproductive rights in some fashion. Even if they are anti-abortion or anti-contraception, it’s still a completely normal thing to think about, and it’s pretty crazy that he doesn’t understand that.
