Who wants this 36 month window your talking about? I haven't seen any posts asking for this.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The August hater trying to get kids to play up when they aren't ready is selfish and self centered for trying to make his Sept girl only play against younger players but calling people losers is uncalled for.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Definitely need a name committee.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:U18 Juniors will play U17 and U18 seniors will play U19 at showcases there will not be a U18 showcase.
Why not just call it U18 and U19?
Seems like you're trying to hide something.
Name should be loser thats always looking for a way to play down against youger players.
I'm suggesting 13 maybe a 14 month window. You want a 36 month window with players literally 2 years older than eveyone else they're playing against.
Ridiculious to even talk about "self centered"
Also being labeled a loser would bother you it it didnt apply.

Biobanding works with MLS because they are acadamies. Allowing play downs in p2p leagues will bankrupt multiple clubs. Nobody wants to play against a cheater 3 years older then they are.
Don't worry I see it as well.
Just throwing this out there but how does the u15, u16, u17 naming convention work when players are allowed to play down?
Maybe something like u15+2, u16+2, u17+2? Or does u15 become u17, u16 become u18, u17 become u19, etc?
Hahahahaha I never thought about that.
Allowing players 1-2 years older to play down is the same thing as forcing younger players play 1-2 years up.
Stop commenting to yourself.
They’d call it 2027, 2028, 2029s….
Or like MLSN just call it the age group it is but allow the players in the same grade to join the group for showcases.
MLSN doesn’t change the name of its ages based of biobanding players joining the group.
So to accommodate play downs leagues will just stop using the u16 u17 u18 etc system and start using GRADUATING YEAR?
Hahahahaha
But you are the guy trying to tell people that graduating year aka grade in school doesnt exist in club soccer. I guess it does exist when you want play downs to be involved.
The hypocrisy is off the charts
Different guy. Also I have no idea what they will call it? But I heard straight from the source that high level showcases and tournaments will allow older kids to play with their grade. I do not know any specifics other than that.
We shall see….
Maybe you heard a rumor but theres so much more that would need to happen behind something like that before it was even considered.
Its like saying you heard a rumor that NASCAR is going to allow Formula One cars for some events this year. Theres just so many reasons why even if people really want to see something like that happen that it cant happen.
Have you even considered the liability insurance leagues would have to pay in addition to whats already being paid?
I heard from Tom Condone the CEO of USYS. It’s not for me to consider I’m not making any decisions. If you don’t like it write to your local congressman.
So this is the guy pushing for play downs?
https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/news/2025/06/10/updated-decision-on-age-group-formation/
US Youth Soccer CEO Tom Condone addressed the adjustment to the registration process: “At US Youth Soccer, our mission is to support the development of every player. After careful collaboration with our partners and listening to our membership, we believe this shift to an August 1 player formation cycle better aligns with school calendars, supports social and individual needs, and ultimately enhances the youth soccer experience for families across the country.”
I wouldnt be surprised if Tom Condone was the age guy. Not bright + arrogant, seems to fit.
Jealous? I dont think you know what that word means.
Jealous, like Tom made a table that hurt your feelings like the below so you had to make one for your personal use that nobody else uses because it's wrong.
