And at one point, I realized that Jen recommended Shauna Niequist's books, who recommended Kristen Howerton's books, who recommended Rachel Hollis, etc, etc, etc. And I stopped pre-ordering ANYTHING after Glennon dropped the bombshell that she and Craig were splitting about a month BEFORE her book about how she had restored her marriage was set to release. I had pre-ordered that one and then discovered that because it was pre-ordered, I had to take it and I couldn't cancel the order. Add that to the "journal" that one of Brandon's books promised from a pre-order that was actually a pamphlet and I'm done pre-ordering anything from anyone connected to any of them. Not to mention, most of these books just aren't good. I hope her publisher reads this thread.

I think she figured Glennon- Momastery-Wombach-wife Doyle did something similar and it revived her career for a while so why not throw some folks under the bus and see what works, although Abby may have done more for Glennon's fame than her book. They are are all circling the drain, dying their hair blonder, trying too look younger, vacillating between being know-it-all gurus to vulnerable and broken trying desperately to find the next hook to keep the attention coming and perhaps fill a void. They hide behind "charities" so people will think they must be good people while probably hoping nobody investigates these charities too closely or sees who the biggest donors are to make sure it's ethical or how valid all the charities are they disperse money to and so forth. They push those in their orbit, worst of all their own children, into the spotlight on their blogs and then social media rather than allowing them to grow and make mistakes and develop in peace. It's the same. game, different ladies. My guess is Hatmaker's book will bomb, but hopefully she will handle it with more dignity and grace than Dave Hollis, may he rest in peace.
Just another girl boss rising from the ashes tell all is not what the world needs today. Besides, Jen already wrote her "manifesto" on love, live, career, family and all the things called Fierce Free and Full of Crap that she published right before her own life blew up. How many "manifestos" does a basic privileged white woman have anyway?

I’m just laughing at how Brandon switched things up since his likely -ghostwritten-by-Jen book.
Jen is bringing up her divorce probably brxause she will be writing about it this year. A new “fierce” manifesto - gird yourselves !
