Can the hypocrisy get any worse? Get over yourself SB. Let's vote them all out.

Janie was asleep for a long time, but the boundary change she tried to get approved in 2018 (it was blocked by other Democrats) would have moved more kids and actually aligned with "One Fairfax" by moving some of the Tysons apartments/condos to Langley.
Elaine then pushed through a change that moved fewer kids and reassigned none of the MHS areas that were growing faster to Langley. So Langley picked up more expensive single-family homes, while all the current and future condos/apartments in Tysons stay zoned to McLean and Marshall. Then they changed TJ admissions so Longfellow is sending more kids to McLean and fewer kids to TJ, which largely offsets the limited relief provided by Tholen's scheme.
Tholen has managed to alienate more people in two years on the Board than Strauss did in over 20 years. Maybe she'll come up with something new over the next year; as it now stands, she's largely handed the Dranesville seat (and probably at least one of the at-large seats) on the SB to a Republican in 2023.
And just to clarify, Elaine's "scheme" only moved about 20 kids from MHS to LHS this year. 100% irrelevant and meaningless, just like her.
So who are you going to get to replace her?

She signaled in a recent Board meeting that she’s going to ask staff to create a new renovation queue with McLean near the top. By the time anything comes of this, the 2023 SB election will be approaching and it will be too little, too late. Most likely her seat will flip to a Republican candidate in 2023.
Im sure she is planning a last minute action to try to get reelected. I cant imagine that the MHS parents who support her will be fooled.

I cannot imagine being so wedded to a local political party that I wouldn’t at least wait to see what a candidate endorsed by a particular party had to say before deciding whether to support them. And, while I often vote for candidates endorsed by Democrats, the single biggest problem with the current School Board is the lack of different perspectives when you have a board that functions mostly as an echo chamber because they are all from the same party. Sure, they squabble with each other occasionally, but it’s all over small stuff, not the larger policy issues they ought to be considering.
