Better, but even still, I’d like wider margins.
Relax. Trump is not winning WI, MI, PA, FL or AZ. The Nation will vomit him out.
Not trying to promote complacency, but the pandemic has been the death knell to Trump's campaign. And with the current resurgence of the virus in states that opened early, this is only going to make his numbers go down. People are and will blame Trump and the Republicans for pushing to open up the economy too soon and too fast for the resurging numbers. Several red states that opened early are right now on the brink of running out of hospital beds and running the risk of extra deaths due to lack of available health care.
Additionally, there are many red state patients who are watching with dread as Trump continues to try and strip them of healthcare that they are getting through public options that Trump is trying to dismantle. Add that to the industries that Trump has made promises to that are collapsing from his lack of support and the longer the pandemic crisis continues, the more his ratings and his support will sink.
Right now, models are showing that if the election were to be held today, that Trump would lose in a landslide (roughly 40-60 of the electoral college). Biden should not be complacent, but needs to continue to show how much more presidential he is and to continue to show that he has a better sense of what the country needs than Trump (although Trump is doing most of the work for Biden in showing how ill-suited he (Trump) is to leading the nation, especially in a time of crisis).
