+1. It is getting ridiculous.

You could split Arlington Soccer Association into 3-4 smaller clubs and it would still be very competitive. Its not VYS or anyone elses fault... unless you do some serious recruiting and scouting for 200+ U9 player base to pick the best of, you have zero chances of being competitive with arlingtons top team

LMVSC U9 Boys were able to pull a draw against Arlington's top team in the McLean tournament. Looks like a small club was able to compete with them this weekend.

I wouldn't call tying Pipeline's top team 3-3, winning against loudon's top team 2-1, and losing by a lot of goals to the eventual tournament winner "getting crushed".

Especially since Continental FC (who they lost to) as I believe its actually FC Delco, which pumps out youth national team players every year and their own development academy.

Yet--they got crushed in the Bethesda tournament this Fall. Not that one should put so much emphasis on 8-year olds, btw.

actually was arlngtons B team that won 13-0

Yawn. You win. Arlington is ever powerful. All shall bow to their soccer might.
In other news VYS is still around after premature news of their demise 2 years ago.

That's right! Pretty huge win! That Bethesda S team is really, really good -- and really, really cocky.

Easy there tiger. That is Bethesda South's second team and that was the middle flight of that tournament.

VYS' new motto: Our A team is better than your B team!

You know what? Why don't you shut up. We are talking about U11 boys teams that battled in the championship game. Let them have the win. Don't find a negative in this. Don't take that away from them. It's a win against one of the better clubs in the area. Good for them. Congrats!

Reality is that beating a major club's B team is a good playing level for a club like VYS that has no recruiting platform. Probably more impressive is that the U12 team tied McLean's top team at the same tournament. I think what it shows is that there is a good player pool in the Vienna area. Consider that several of the players on the Bethesda South U11 teams started in VYS house or travel soccer. Unfortunately there are still a number of issues with the Club and they are unlikely to change.

And a "B" team who has a good number of 07 players. Call it what you want but that is a talented group of kids. I do not have a kid on that team but have seen them play.

U11s are 2006.

Yes but Bethesda South has 07 players playing up in their U11 (06).
