Anonymous wrote:I actually don’t have a problem with congress salary or the increase. My husband is a gov worker in the midwest and is at the top of the pay scale along with them. We wanted to move to DC and couldn’t afford it unless we were an hour away and made very substantial lifestyle changes. There’s no way we could have 2 residences on our current household income. I realize most have other means of income, but I don’t think that should be assumed. For this reason, I don’t think their pay should be based on their home state. I think that would lead to even more wealthy people taking over our congress.
