No political figure has ever stoked as much violence as Trump. He’s supported neo nazis, undermined our elections, and stoked violence against his own VP and political candidate. So no, I don’t feel any sympathy for him. What goes around comes around.
+1000. If you threaten military tribunals for your opponents, what should you expect? Trump had an opportunity to be a unifying force in American culture but took the low road every time.

Nope. See Scalise’s tweet. Already trying to frame the Democrats as violence mongers for saying that Trump is a threat to democracy. Republicans always, always have weird spins on this kind of thing that always, always absolves them of responsibility.

This guy and his friends saw him climbing on the roof with a rifle and tried to warn police and SS.

It’s a white guy. He’s dead.
Live tv just said he is of Chinese descent.

BUT I just heard that the shooter was on a roof. That suggests that something was missed in the advanced planning, no?
Uhh yeah. SS is a clown show.

This location was easily secured, not a complex urban space. The shooter was on a clear white roof with what looks like one of the few (maybe only) sightline.
+100%
I entirely agree that this is a security failure. The Secret Service is held to high standards, but as we've seen in multiple crisis situations, including Jan 6, it's comprised of human beings who aren't perfect.
