Lots of adoptions end this way, and people don't like to talk about it, but caring for a SN child can be very taxing and not everyone is cut out for it. If I can respect the first parent for offering the child up for adoption, I can respect the adoptive parent for finding herself in the same shoes. Before the Harts drove their family off a cliff, they had beaten, starved, strangled, and isolated their adoptive kids, sometimes keeping their heads under cold water while beating and strangling them. Yet their social media presented a perfect, happy family of 6 adopted kids. I would much rather they "re-homed" the children. Yes, the ideal is that these people would be the great parents they pretended to be. But the reality is that many people are horrible parents and don't have the basic skills to even start to improve. Ugly reality.

“An Update on Our Family.”
Yes, I finished watching it tonight. There wasn’t much of an ending. Huxley has privacy now and we’ll likely never get an update on how he’s doing. I hope he is well loved and cared for and happy. I also hope his name isn’t Huxley anymore.
It was wrong for people to make death threats against the Stauffers, but I don’t feel bad that they suffered public scorn for the way they handled the entire situation. They were ill prepared for the realities of his adoption and they weren’t committed to doing everything they could to make it successful. I wonder how their other children have been affected.

The money probably has long been spent. Move on. This stuff happens more than you realize. It was perfectly legal even though it was wrong.
It was definitely not ethical.
They definitely still have plenty of money; garnish their wages now and into the future if necessary. It’s the least they owe this child.
Many unethical things happen to many people in adoption. Not the first situation or the last. The child has no right to the money. No one really cares about ethics and they care about their wants, wishes and needs. Move on... Nothing you can do about it.
Why does he have no rights to the money? He was used as content.
+1,000,000 Use child labor laws as a springboard and take it to the supreme court so these influencers stop using their children for profit.
