Plus CDC officially put out what it wanted to say yesterday: Older adults and travelers with underlying health issues should avoid situations that put them at increased risk for more severe disease. This entails avoiding crowded places, avoiding non-essential travel such as long plane trips, and especially avoiding embarking on cruise ships.
So hopefully people listen and no cruises for anyone + no travel or conferences or whatever at all for age 60+ or any age if you have other health conditions. But IDK Americans tend not to be good at listening and it's all about MY vacation, MY money etc.
Really everyone should be reassessing. They are potential carriers and spreaders even if they are young and have not health problems. It's about having some sort of personal sense of responsibility for your community and your fellow citizens. Just being a good neighbor. You don't know if your coworker has a child, spouse or parent with health issues.
Though we know this behavior is because as a society we are individually minded not community minded. In some ways this can be good, but in times like this really bad.

Please don't. Larla and Larlo will get over it. And so will you. Tell them there is a dangerous virus circulating and it's not safe for others. End of.

Put sanitizer outside the door most used to the house. Husband separates himself in the house from both of you and uses a private bathroom if possible, for two weeks. You make DH meals and put a bunch of snack foods in that room. Buy a dorm-size fridge if necessary.Anonymous wrote:DC returning from France and DH in risk group. What to do ? Anonymous wrote:Anyone have a recommendation for international trip insurance that will actually allow you to voluntarily cancel on account of COVID-19?
We’re American but live overseas & I’m trying to send my kid to summer camp, but they are expensive (~£15k). So far, none of the camps say they are canceling; and if we elect to cancel, there’s no refund. None of them are screening/quarantining kids coming from ‘hot’ zones, and they commonly get kids from Asia & Italy.
Spending $20k for my kid to get sick or worse seems stupid, so I’m hoping there’s some kind of insurance out there that will let me cancel if there isn’t better prevention in place by summer.

I have elderly parents and a medically-complex child and am not about to risk their health just because I personally might not die from it.
Are you going to work? How are you any more safe here than there?
My work doesn’t have an airplane recycled air system + I don’t touch elbows with my neighboring coworkers. In fact I’m separated from them with walls.
