Who still respects this man the same way they did when they voted for him?

Would agree with you except all of his actions since the photo surfaced have revealed him to be a dishonest liar......and a shockingly stupid one at that. If he simply apologized and expressed remorse at the stupidity of his younger self I think he could have survived. But the gall he has to think people are dumb enough to believe his lies is just astounding.

I'm just a regular old voting democrat and I think he needs to resign. You cannot be a leader with this in your past. He's not entitled to this power, but similar to Kavanaugh, is irate at the idea he may not get to keep it based on his past. There's no downside to him resigning, we still get democrat Fairfax as governor. There's literally no benefit to keeping Northam for anyone but Northam.

Um - you seriously believe posing for a photo in a KKK robe (and then publicizing it in your yearbook), is something you can just make disappear with a fake apology??
