I don't either. Environmental issues don't interest me at all.
Wow. This is really disheartening to read. Our kids are f%$ed

I'm talking about the ones who have jobs -- good high paying jobs so they're not living with the frustration of having a college degree to wait tables. Never have I seen a group that doesn't understand the "work your way up" theory and that demands so much right from the get go. In this economy, you'd think they'd care about how their perceived -- but instead they make it clear how much vacation time they NEED, how they must leave work by 5 pm even in professional positions and yet are the first to "demand" a promotion not by saying -- I accomplished x, y, z for you, but by saying -- I've been here for a yr, I think it's time I be promoted, I've put in my time.
I think the ones who work even moderately hard will be shining stars in this generation, since their peers are so lackluster.

I don't want to go to Let's Dish, I don't have time to come over for drinks, I don't have time for a girls' night. I am at my max with a job, a husband who works 60 hours a week, and two kids with SNs. Please just STOP asking me to do these things. I do not have time. If I have a free second after my child stops screaming and falls asleep at 9:45, I go downstairs and have a bowl of cheerios and then collapse in my bed. And at 6 am, when the screaming starts all over again, I get up and start a whole new day, just like the one before.
Hugs to you PP. Maybe your neighbor knows you have a hard life and is trying to find ways to connect with you.
