It’s reality. Most adults outside of legal circles were not familiar with that term especially at 18. You’re trying to call him dumb for signing something his fake family told him to sign. He thought they cared about him.
In what way did they not care about him? They welcomed him into their home. Fed him, got him on the right track, made him NCAA eligible, bought him a truck, set him up with health insurance, cleared the path so he could make the most of his gifts. What monsters.
THEY ARE OLE MISS BOOSTERS!! They did all of that so they could get him to go to that school and the Briarcrest football coach also got hired by Ole Miss. He was also investigated for other NCAA recruiting violations. They are all self serving frauds. None of what they did was for Michael. It was for themselves.

They sold her the same scam. The Tuohys would be his adoptive family but she would always be his bio mother. No adoption can change who someone’s bio mother is. She lost custody of Michael when he was like 7. She knew she was not his “mama” or “mom” but his birth mother.
