Stubhub has guarantees and they won't list a ticket that the seller doesn't have

I don't think she's a monster. This system worked out great for the last 2 tours. If buying concert tickets is making anyone stressed out, they should see a mental health professional STAT.

Some artists have made sure that resale tickets were no good. Garth Brooks has done that. He also added more shows as things sold out. Getting tickets was still frustrating, but a much better chance at a valid ticket as long as you could be flexible on your dates.

I can't recall now how they determined invalid tickets, but I know people were turned away at the door.

I agree she probably doesn't care but how does she make money from this? If I spent $500 on nosebleeds from a reseller, I'd probably end up spending less on merchandise at the concert then.

This makes no sense. First there's no evidence of variable pricing. Second, PP's point is Taylor doesn't make more money if people scalp tix.

I have to admit: I really don’t get her appeal. My teens aren’t fans, so I’ve been lucky enough to avoid the weird obsession people have with her.

Some people really enjoy her music and would love the opportunity to see her perform live. It's not that deep and it's not necessarily some 'weird obsession.'

So I accidentally bought one of the VIP packages and it comes with some merch. How do you actually get that stuff? At the show? Or can you get it earlier?

For BTS tickets you were not allowed to immediately transfer the tickets but could later on. Also soundcheck seats were not transferrable at all.
