He is spilling the beans. I am sure the monetary aspect and the abuse of his wife by Josh is difficult to swallow.

I’d happily boycott TLC but it would be an empty gesture for me. I’ve thought they and their shows have been trash since forever, so I don’t watch.

It's just so sad that the "living nightmare" she refers to isn't about what Josh did but rather the fact that the incident was made public. On the one hand, I completely understand how she could feel the publicity victimized her again. On the other hand, she says "One of my siblings had made some sinful choices, but it had all been years ago. It had been awful, but we had dealt with it as a family." That's very much on message for the family.

Anna's interview after the last scandal.
I found this video really interesting. There was something obviously unusual in her speech: How she was speaking and her unusual facial expressions; A disconnect of sorts. But then when I watched it with no sound I saw that her fleeting expressions look like anger (especially when frame is frozen. She is making a face in several moments with her eyes and furrowed forehead like "Are you fu@#king kidding me?"). She was angry, of course, but her upbringing does not allow it so you get this tentative, pseudo passive voice with a face that is expressing much pain and anger. What a terrible and deeply unhealthy way to live. I hope she can find a way out...that would be a real miracle.
Fascinating analysis! You should write a paper about this. Also, have you considered going into linguistics? This is great stuff.

I doubt she put that software on. Even if she did, Josh's childhood friend said he had those crappy software apps on his computers and was able to get around them no issue.
Anna knew he had 1)a problem with porn 2) had molested children/committed incest 3) a failed courtship because this came to light 4) other people in their community constantly keeping their kids away from Josh because they thought he was a predator.
Homegirl says she knew all the above and still went ahead and married him. She literally, JOYFULLY!! signed up for it. No way she leaves his ass. Any of the above would have been a dealbreaker years ago. It wasn't for her then and it won't be now.
Yep. Anna is a grown woman who is choosing to stay with a known sexual abuser of children. I don’t know why so many of you insist on defending her. She is putting her children at risk.
I defend her because I understand what it’s like to grow up in a fundamentalist church and where she is in and grew up in is 10 times worse than what I grew up in. This is not your regular variety Christianity or even strict Christianity. What she is in, grew up in, and is surrounded by, is a cult and cult members. As a society we throw the term brainwashed around but that is exactly what she is in the legitimate meaning. She is in a cult and when you start reading up on what it takes to a) understand you’re in a cult and 2) leave a cult are two enormous mental and spiritual hurdles that she has to jump through.
We know that she’s wrong, we know that she can leave but that would require her questioning the entire foundation of who she is and what she has grown up in, the literal spiritual lives of her and her children. She doesn’t have a support system that can enable her to leave. She depends wholy on Josh. This is why I defend her and I pray that people step up in her life to help her leave the marriage, if not the cult.

When you liken the cult that the Duggars are in to “organized religion,” you’re really not making a point.
Sadly, yes. She is making a point. And I say this as a minister. Organized religion often brings the most vile people into their flocks. Promises of absolution, forgiveness, grace, etc..... attract fuked up people. That’s why we have so many priests who are predators. It was their way of trying to suppress sick urges. It never works.

Anonymous wrote:Look at their faces. Who does not think that there was some serious girl abuse going on in that household? I just don't think that Josh is the sick pervert. He is grinning because he has something over daddy-o.
Duggar's emphasis was never on looking after the kids (the older girls were playing nanny) but basically fuxing like bunnies.
