It is primarily the college prep and recruitment piece. It is missing at bsc. Clyde has great connections at McLean, as does Harry at MD United.. Bsc doesn't have anyone on the girls side with strong connections to college coaches. This is why the older teams will lose some players and continue to struggle. Once committed, the stronger D1 coaches also want to see their commits in a strong training environment which bsc does not have at the oldest teams. This could change, but the current state of affairs.

I think this is spot on. There has not been a Top 150 player, U15 and above, who transferred in to BSC in the last five years from other area clubs. It is the exact opposite, and these players won't even list BSC in their college bios. This is not about hate folks, but just can't spin those facts. Now how do you fix this moving forward, as the younger talent now may just do the same thing in a couple years?

They should give a high level girls team to Gus Donolo-lots of girls would follow!

No need to get personal. I don't know to whom you are referring but it does not take a degree is advance quantum physics to understand that there are dozens of girls who drive past Bethesda to play for Arlington, McLean and MUFC. BSC is fielding competitive teams and KL has a great track record but the place needs to work out a few kinks. I know plenty of parents who would move to Bethesda if and when those kinks are fixed.

You have no idea what you are talking about. College recruitment is 90% (player contacting coaches, emails, videos, grades, etc) and 10% connections. If a player makes to an US ID Camp, the coach doesn't even matter. KL does need to make the connections but you easily forget that Clyde and Harry probably have at least 30 years on KL. Both Clyde and Harry had to start somewhere back when they were KL's age as well.

You are the same McLean parent that posts negative stuff about BSC over and over and over again. Please worry about your own kid instead of your immature grudge. Stop listening to what others are feeding you. I've been through the process with my older one as well as watched her teammates and their approach. MR didn't exactly have all of the "connections" yet look at her 2019 class. Over 15 players took D1 Scholarships, Virginia, North Carolina, NC State, Princeton, Notre Dame, and others.

But hes not wrong, and most likely because he/she has a daughter on one of those teams. Its the people that have no clue what theyre talking about that need to get a life-

And the 06s didnt lose any players to other clubs. Rush team displaced them down to the 2nd team- existing small roster, 8 or 9 Rush girls come over, inevitable that some will be pushed down to 2nd team. Now that roster has 21 or so players and some girls have to sit out each weekend.

Do the 06 girls sitting out have the opportunity to play for the ECNL 2 team? Does KL rotate who sits out or does he clearly favor his old MRM players?? Do you anticipate players 18-21 to leave?

I only worry about the handful of others who are unhappy with the club and feel the need to write misleading, negative posts. No club is perfect and other places may be a better fit for your kid. If that applies to you, then you should leave. No reason to write intentionally misleading posts on your way out.
