Funniest line ever!!!

..
Beth slays! And so does Mandy Moore- she is getting better every single episode.

The one thing that got me to cry (I think because I knew it was coming so I wasn't as choked up) was the older Tess twist, I don't know there was something incredible and quiet about it

Yes I like the way it shows that helping someone today, can indirectly help others in the future. And that by showing kindness you are influencing your kids to do the same.

I have been wondering if the fire is all a red herring and Jack is going to survive... time will tell.

He's going to make it out of the fire and everyone will be relieved, and just when we think this isn't the moment... he will suffer the effects of smoke inhalation. I do not think Rebecca will be with him. Perhaps only Kate, who calls 911 and they take him to the hospital by ambulance.

I think this because:
We know THIS is the Super Bowl he dies. Rebecca, wearing her steelers shirt, is driving the car home with Jack's personal items in a plastic bag. She pulls up to the burnt house, presumably the next day.

The only thing that stuck out to me is that she was wearing a pink robe before bed, when she took the call from Kevin. I kept wondering when/why the steelers shirt is put back on. They must assume they're safe and then something happens which causes her to get dressed (with what clothes? they all burned in a fire) and drive herself to the hospital.

Maybe Rebecca looks for Kevin, Jack/Kate/Randall all go to Miguel's after the fire, that's when Jack has his episode and then Rebecca meets him at the hospital.

Yeah, the pajamas vs football jersey thing has bothered me, too.

He told her to put on clothes and shoes before he ran out of the room to get Randall and Kate. That shirt was probably close to the bed.

I've realized that whenever I cry during this show, it's maybe 10 percent what's going on onscreen, and 90 percent of my own crap I'm bringing into it. The hospital scenes (first William, now this) completely gut me because of memories of my mother's last days in the hospital.

+1

My mom died 20 years ago, around the same time as Jack. This show really brings me back to that time, so yeah, lots of bawling on my end.

My mom died around that time, too. I can relate, PP.

Me too. My dad died 20 years ago, but I was older than the Pearson kids.

I mean the Pearson kids now. Yes, fiction, I know!

I’m immediate PP. I hadn’t thought about it, but I guess I was 37 when Mom died, just like the Pearson kids. Huh.

and how he calls her name & she turns around to look at him. I think he sensed something wasn’t right & wanted to look at her one last time.

Yes, and when she was in front of the vending machine, she heard him say "Becs" as he was dying, and she turned around.

I had closed captions on and it said"man"

Interesting. I'm pretty sure I heard Becs. Curious what others heard.

Lots of people on twitter heard it, too.

DAMMIT!! I had set my DVR an hour later than usual but it still cut off when Rebecca was watching the game and talking to Kevin on the phone. Anyone know where I can watch the last 15 min or so? I’m so mad at myself.

Can someone fill me in on what happened with Jack and Kevin’s last conversation before Iack died? I must have missed that part of that episode. Thanks!
