Am I the only one who thinks the delay is so the can make the changes as to who is going to KAA? My guess is the had maps all ready to go and then decided to go ahead and open KAA next year and needed to hastily draw those boundary lines.

Yeah we have a pretty good IT department at FCPS and I’m sure they would have figured out technical difficulties by now.
I think something happened yesterday that prompted a delay beyond a website.
This isn’t FCPS site code related. It is likely that the boundary map site is hosted elsewhere, perhaps mapbox, and FCPS simply has an embedded link to the hosting site. I speculate this could be an issue with Thru consulting not having enough technical experience to properly update the maps.
There is almost definitely some junior developer at Thru desperately trying to figure out the deployment error while the senior who usually does it is on vacation somewhere for the long weekend not answering their phone. They probably deploy directly to the production environment and "it worked on my machine" when they tested the database updates for the new maps last week.

It isn't fair to the families in Centerville and Robinson that they can't see the maps before their meeting Monday night. That meeting needs to be changed. These people are absolutely incompetent.
Fcps already had that happen with WSHS and Hunt Valley, plus one other neighborhood across the county during the last round of maps

You can believe what they're saying or not, but the messaging back in individual emails is that they ran into coding issues.
You'd think they would have overcome those issues before they released the prior maps, but it could be different people assigned to updating them.
Maybe that's true, but I think people are skeptical because there are other ways to release maps besides this boundary tool.
