I’m Melania’s age, my mother died more than twenty years ago and my dad died this year. I’m perfectly capable of appearing presentably at someone else’s funeral. When you’re my/Melania’s age, the loss of a parent should not still be personally devastating so you can’t function a year later.

Let poor rich woman wear what she wants, keep focus on her DH and his policies.

I thought she looked trashy. She just doesn't know what is appropriate to wear to functions!!! Remember her "I don't care do you" jacket?

I’m not opposed to a detachable collar. In fact. I’m sort of into the concept of the 19th century detachable collar — women had gorgeous hand made lace collars and of course you didn’t want to have that just for one dress so would remove it and put it on another dress as needed. I have a bunch of them because they are gorgeous and can’t get rid of them but don’t really know what to do with them. Something like that could look gorgeous on a black coat dress. Now I sort of want to boy a black v neck silk shirt for one of those collars….

Her $40 million Amazon deal is probably helping her feel a bit better

There really should be a stickie explaining how to post images. I thought I understood when it's been explained but has never worked for me.
No one uses the word "frock" unless they intend to sound pretentious. It's ok to simply say "dress."![]()
