If they were going to leave then it’s better they did so now, when the FCV GA players still have the opportunity to go somewhere else for next season. And those players will be just fine, it’s the ones they’ll displace who aren’t so lucky.
So displace everyone? Other clubs won't take more than 3-4 for each team. And we're really only talking ECNL clubs anyway. So 2-3 other clubs.
The FCV coaches are who screwed the players. It's because they didn't believe they could control the process anymore. They never controlled the process and their success was largely due to their ability to get the DA league. Now that's gone, with no ability to develop players and no ability to steal players, they have nothing. All they really were doing was using the league DA and stealing players to form competitive teams. They were ruthless in that ability.
2-4 FCV GA players at each of VDA, NVA, Union, BSC, Arlington, and SYC, with the remainder at VRSC, may not be what those players were expecting a few months ago, but it also doesn’t leave them in a bad place relative to whatever their soccer goals were. The impact on the 2-4 players who are displaced at each of those teams is more concerning.
Are there any FCV players actually staying with FCV? I could see previous subs who would now become starters giving it a look. There may not be that many displacements at other clubs, and then those displaced could go take the open spots at FCV. It’s really just a shuffling across teams there’s a finite number of players at this level.
Why would anyone stay at / go to FCV when it’s completely unclear if they have coaches or fields? Whatever one thinks about VRSC as a club, how is total uncertainty at FCV a better option than VRSC with most of FCV’s current staff and fields?
It’s uncertain now but it’s still February. Plenty of uncertainty at other clubs too. We’ll know what’s happening with FCV and other clubs soon enough.

✅ Rudy missing in action / already quit.
✅ No email follow up on the merger with a partner for fields. AB where is this info.
✅ Some age groups have no coach announced for next season.
✅ AB not qualified for the position he was hired for & had multiple boys quit at TSJ FCV. Also has a history of screaming & yelling at U8 kids at SYA.
It will be interesting to see the turnout for next week’s FCV’s ID sessions (and tonight’s and tomorrow’s at VRSC).
Turnout will be high from current players because they scheduled tryouts the same time as training.
Can’t see many outsiders attending. Not many have in the past.
I can see quite a few outsiders showing up from a certain ECNL team which was just merged

Call Fairfax and Loudoun County and ask for the assigned spring permits for this org.
