Isn’t that DePape’s account? There are so many iterations at this point which is why I’m confused.
It includes statements from Pelosi, the unnamed security guy that saw Depape and Depape himself.
Why would the police ask if everything was ok when they saw Pelosi struggling with a man, both who had hands on a hammer? They know who Pelosi is. That delay in engagement and distraction appears to be what allowed DePape to get the upper hand and hit Pelosi. There needs to be some investigation into the city's policies and what the police are told they should and should not do.

I’m going to say this more and more here and in real life.
People need to confront the republicans in their lives. You have republican friends (maybe) and family (likely, esp if you’re white).
You need to tell them that this sh!t is just not OK. It’s not OK to ridicule a violent attack.
And it’s REALLY not OK to end democracy. To support people who say they will not respect the outcome of elections.
