My husband and I were at odds here. He said that Mallory's boyfriend (I forget his name) should've slugged "Timmy" and told him to eff off. Then they all call a cab and let him drive himself drunk.
However, I said they are kids, dumb, don't make good decisions. Part of being young is making mistakes. However this is just extreme and deadly lessons.
You know they all went along with Paul's shenanigans because they were rich, parents gave them alcohol, etc.
If he wasn't rich, NONE of those kids (including the girlfriend) would've given him the time of day. He was such a gross dork.

Their theory about the weird angle is that the shooter was leaning down to switch guns when Paul surprised him by stumbling out of the feed room. Other than that, it’s all straight from the forensic evidence.

He literally hunted his family at the hunting lodge.
He treated them like animals. Shooting Maggie in the legs with a riffle to take her down then going for the kill shot is evil.
Hope they have the death sentence in SC. Beyond belief.

I'm an SC native and most of the population there has had no access to anything resembling a fair justice system (including fair banking, property rights, etc) for most of its history, and many would make credible arguments that they still don't. It's part of America but totally out of compliance with the Constitution for much more time than not. Unfairness and oppression are its defining characteristic. Notions of southern "grace" or "honor" are the kabuki on top of systemic, state-sponsored violent terror. Driving to the beach through that part of the country gives me the heebeejeebees, and I'm white.
I had two lawyers from SC and they were Pigs. The DC bar was not surprised of my complaint against one, and didn't doubt me for a second.
