Her “experience” isn’t enough. Sorry.

Same here. I have worked with him on committees and I don't think he is arrogant at all. I also agree with NVD's impressions.

I'd agree, too. I'm not sure how many ideas he actually has on his own; but at least he reaches out and asks questions and tries to educate himself on the issues rather than just pushing his own agenda without input.

If that happened that would be a seperate election, not this one. But there are two open seats now. So please vote!

I'm thinking David Priddy #1 and Sandy Munnell #2 for my votes.

I’m still undecided. Why are you leaning toward those two? The only one I know I don’t want is Krieger. Don’t really understand the animosity against Cristina.

I've met and like Priddy. He's grounded, thoughtful, cares about the big picture, not an ass. Munnell worked in APS and has the teacher perspective.

I don't like Sims (not happy about the whole thing with running Symone out of the race), Krieger is a 1-issue anti-swap guy who has been spamming me, and Cristina is a party suck-up with no real world experience who thinks she has real world experience whose main qualifications seem to be being Latina and working with Katie Cristol.

Ditto all this

+1 and adding that Cristina claims she has all sorts of experience she doesn’t actually have. She claims she helped draft ESSA yet was still an undergrad when the law was written. She’s a party puppet with no actual ties to Arlington and not enough experience. She’s a former TFA-er who claims to know about teaching.

Adding that she touts a “decade of experience “. Is her experience that she went to high school because that’s where she was a decade ago.

Munnell is my #1 and Sims is my #2. Krieger is one issue only and his constant emails have been annoying. I also don't like how one of his biggest selling points is that he has young kids. So what? For some reason, Priddy has never impressed me and strikes me as kind of arrogant.

Munnell seems down to earth and I like her having the teacher perspective. I don't think I've ever seen any evidence that Sims drove Symone out of the race, as someone above suggested, but I like him more if he did. She was violating the law and as a federal government attorney for 2 decades she either knew she was or is a really bad lawyer. I want someone on the SB who will call out wrongs when they see them. So not sure I understand all the hate, if it was even him. I think I would like Cristina personally if I knew her in real life, but she might need a little more real world experience before I would vote for her.

Sims is the arrogant one.

I'm not a huge Nancy or Reid fan, but I think they got it right. Symone and Krieger seem like strong advocates for their positions, especially Symone. But that doesn't mean they are right for SB. The SB isn't really an advocacy body. It sets policy and the budget. It holds people accountable. Of course there is an advocacy element in policy setting, but not in the same way as Symone and Krieger seem to conduct their advocacy efforts. Cristina seems like a nice young woman -- and I don't hold her age against her -- but she needs more experience. That leaves Sandy, Priddy, and Teron. Leaning toward Sandy and Teron but keeping an open mind on Priddy.

I wholeheartedly endorse David Priddy for School Board and urge you to vote for him during the upcoming Arlington Democrat’s School Board Caucus. David is the grounded, steady leader we need today on the Arlington School Board.

David Priddy has extensive, first-hand experience as a parent of two students in Arlington Public Schools. He has worked diligently to support his family and community as a member of the Fleet and Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTAs. He serves as PTA President currently at Jefferson Middle School, as representative to the County Council of PTAs, and as a member of the Career Center Building Level Planning Committee. This extensive involvement in our schools gives David up-close, daily experience with current education practice and the regular life of students in APS, as well as the important perspective of planner and advisor to vital APS system-wide projects. This background provides the necessary grounding David needs as he takes on the challenges of APS budgets, plans, and operations as we not only learn to function in our new normal during Covid-19 but also in the ongoing challenge of education in the digital age.

David is steady, kind, thoughtful, and an amazing listener. As the new Fleet building opened adjacent to Jefferson Middle School this year, David alerted the Board to ongoing problems and worked with the PTAs of Jefferson and Fleet, APS Central Office staff, and County officials to address problems and gain resolution. He kept his PTAs informed, engaged and supported. He ensure community voices are heard by the School Board. He has become a trusted ally and community advocate to me as I engage in my work on the Board.

I strongly urge you to request and cast a ballot immediately for David Priddy. https://arlingtondemocrats.org/vote/school-board-caucus/

That is a nice endorsement. But didn't Cristina rack up a lot of endorsements herself from SB and CB members? Just not sure how much they mean to most voters.
