+1 Election results and polls asking who is to blame for the shutdown show that people are not buying the Republican story that the Democrats are responsible for the shutdown.
Agree. I predict Rs will figure out a way to end this and save some face sometime next week.

Dems were leaving the gov shut down to help win these elections. Now that it worked, expect them to end the shutdown.

I have no idea. She’s grossly unqualified for her position. That doesn’t mean social policy is a useless discipline.

I got an allotment adjustment message from FSA Feds notifying me what my new withholdings will be each paycheck. (So normally it’s $192.3 for the dependent care account each pay period but going forward it will be 240.42 taken out each pay period). I’m sure it will be adjusted again once this paycheck is officially missed.
I got that too, so I guess we will need to manually adjust our TSP contributions as well.
