Junior? So you do wear whale pants. And the comment was about wealth not being the ONLY measure. Then again if your wealth and ability to pay STA tuition is largely based on your grandfather’s trust fund, then it probably is the only measure you care about.

Anonymous wrote:There are many studies and actual recent data. St. Albans and NCS produce the most high level graduates per capita than any other school in the area. Those students go on to earn more than 15-20% per year after college over a lifetime. Keep telling yourself there isn't a difference in schools. The top students are earning more than other top students, the middle more than other schools middle and the bottom more than other schools bottom.
Sure. Could you post a link for the research on this?Anonymous wrote:Just means that while maybe in the past, where someone went to college or if they went to college was a huge factor in predicting their success in life and now that is just not the case.

So instead of essentially the same colleges, I’ll say essentially the same life outcome - so grind for 4 years for almost $300k at STA or enjoy the 4 years for $125k and end up in the same place of life 5 years later.
There is zero chance the life outcome of a STA grad is equal to that of a WCAC grad on the whole when comparing top to bottom over time.
Hilarious take. You are a special kind of idiot to think you can even compare “the life outcome” of grads from different schools

Anonymous wrote:You're forgetting the WCAC wins every offseason. Only real competition for that is Prep. A bunch of middling results = 5 great teams battling it out week in and week out.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It is interesting how some of the WCAC schools (SJC, Good Counsel, and even PVI) have soaked up a lot of talent that might have considered schools like Bullis, SSSAS, or even MAC schools that occasionally fielded decent teams like Potomac or SAES in the recent past.
I’m sure cost is part of the story.
Landon and Prep will likely always attract good players from near (or sometimes far), but hard to argue the trend is toward the WCAC in terms of producing good competition among 5-6 teams each year.
Totally agree and I think cost is a very major part of the story! If you can pay $27,000 (max bc we all know they give ‘discounts’) at SJC, not work as hard, and still get into essentially the same colleges, why would you pay $58,000 and work your tail off at St Albans?? This is why I think Heeter has the hardest lacrosse job in the area - the deck couldn’t be more stacked against him!
"essentially" the same. This is from Inside Lacrosse and is just the 2025 lax kids who declared they are going to college to play lax. Would really like to see the rest of the graduates to get a true roster comparison. I'm gonna guess the 2 schools don't have essentially the same matriculation list.
STA - Colgate, Amherst, Bucknell, Bowdoin 2x
SJC - VMI, Navy, MD, Boston, The Mount 2x
