You have to reach people where they are. A significant portion of the population worships a demented conman because he makes them feel good about their ugly beliefs and tells them it’s ok to blame poor immigrants and people of color for their own lack of success in life. Mentally, they peaked in middle school. They run off feelings and Fox News. Anything policy related or intelligent is going to go completely over their heads.
