The "mitigating circumstances" sound dubious. I have no clue what a miscarriage in January 2022 has to do with child neglect and improper parenting 15 months later. Her attorney sounds like a fool.

Okay. Found the link, just could not understand how post partum depression contributed to her son shooting a teacher.
