The suit has a high probability to be successful... but Brendan does not have assets or future earning potential. The juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze, what am I missing.

But if they're taken from him in a civil trial, wouldn't those assets have gone to his daughter at some point? I am not a lawyer.
Who filed the lawsuit? Christine's parents? Presumably they are doing so to preserve any funds that are left into a trust for the daughter vs. Brendan's lovely family frittering it all away on appeal after appeal. NAL.

You are incorrect. She retires in July 2026.
Originally it was to be last day of June. Now it’s 2 weeks later. The point is time is of the essence. Defense counsel trying last minute tricks.
