Complaint: Served On Juliana Peres Magalhaes
Complaint: Served On Brendan Robert Banfield
Hearing Scheduled Trial - Jury 02/22/2027
Question for the lawyers, if any are still checking in..
The suit has a high probability to be successful... but Brendan does not have assets or future earning potential. The juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze, what am I missing.
Thanks,
He has plenty of assets.
But if they're taken from him in a civil trial, wouldn't those assets have gone to his daughter at some point? I am not a lawyer.
Who filed the lawsuit? Christine's parents? Presumably they are doing so to preserve any funds that are left into a trust for the daughter vs. Brendan's lovely family frittering it all away on appeal after appeal. NAL.

The judge retires in June.
You are incorrect. She retires in July 2026.
