You say this - STILL - after 70k dead in about 6-7 weeks - THREE TIMES A FLU SEASON IN ONE THIRD THE TIME - AND WITH A LOCKDOWN
And not all "survivors" are created equally. Some will be affected -- for who knows how long. Others are just sort of sitting around intubated until they kick it.
You lot are complaining because your life just can't go on as normal and those old people and pre-existing conditions people are just inconveniencing you from living your real life. Why don't they just all stay at home so the rest of us Real Americans can get on with living.
And I bet the 90% majority of the OPEN UP NOW SNOWFLAKES crowd think they're pro-life.
Dems are happy to butcher people in the womb and consider it progress.
Republicans are happy to butcher people once they become a hassle. That's considered progress because it helps The Trump get re-elected.
This saddens me.

How about you learn some statistics. From the NYC and CDC if you have one or less chronic conditions your health outcomes are exactly the same as the flu. Around 50% no symptoms around 49.9% manageable symptoms anywhere from a "cold" to sick for a week or so .1% hospitalization and <.01% death rate
Way to prove my point. Just ignore the old and/or unhealthy people, or shove them aside, so you can get on with your real living. So the deaths don't count, because they were all old anyway. (And never mind, if 30-40% of Americans stay at home, it's not like the economy will go gangbusters anyway.)
The universities' model had shown that reopening at the end of May was the only scenario that didn't dramatically increase cases.
In late April, Tim Lant, a mathematical epidemiologist at ASU, said the model showed five different scenarios for how the disease could progress in Arizona, depending on how social distancing efforts were relaxed.
The slowest curve, based on if the state reopens at the end of May, is “the only one that doesn't put me immediately back on an exponential growth curve,” Lant said in April. That’s because transmission rates would be lowest at that time, he said.
“I can say, scientifically, no, it's not safe to reopen unless you're planning on, you know, shutting down again after a couple of weeks, and we can help figure out what the appropriate amount of time is to stay open before we shut down,” he said.

I get really annoyed at shit like this. I’m not a Trumper at all, but why is it a “right-wing maga lover” thing for people wanting to open up and go back to normal again? I know several friends who work in the beauty/salon industry who have been jobless for 2 months and need to work. Some of us need to go back or we lose everything. And I’m a well-educated liberal.
It’s a way of avoiding guilty feelings.

One indicator is the 64 children admitted in the last 2 weeks to NYC emergency rooms
Another is our military’s refusal to accept recruits who have tested positive because they are worried about the long term health prognosis for these young people

This is a brutal illness that has many different manifestations, from asymptomatic, to mild, to severe to fatal.
So, we insist that the entire population remain at home because some people have longer term effects from this virus?
These are not shown in the statistics that you base your faith in
Some people?
I would say infectious airborne viral illness that is devastating

It takes a while to clear a virus on testing. This is not three separate people testing positive.
