The negative chatter about Toll seems to be from folks who haven’t bought (in this or other developments). Otherwise one would expect some details of why Toll is bad. Instead it’s negative criticism from those who feel this development is a threat to them somehow or others who didn’t purchase and now feel remorse. To say something like the floors are wobbly is just an excuse to make them feel better. In the end, the development is happening and the demand speaks for itself.

I'm surprised the thread hasn't deleted. It's 95% the agent talking to him/herself to bump up the thread hundreds of times.

Oddly enough, the first iteration of the Mt Prospect thread WAS deleted some time ago. This is version 2.0.

There is a fair amount of negative chatter about TB on this thread, I also wonder if the regular posting is to swamp that somewhat.

We are building at turf valley and we were shocked to see the trailer yesterday .. did they say okay to go to Virginia. Also is the Columbia location closed or can we go ? Sorry for the questions but I’m pissed off. Thanks

Ugh, no insight into the other poster's question but what was the experience like in the trailer? Also, how has the rest of the experience been with the Turf Valley team? We have been...less than impressed but at this point just hoping for a nice house when this is done.

Very limited options on display for some of them, chaotic and bad ordering of the levels, but the design consultant was great
The Turf valley team has been great too, no complaints

Other Turf Valley poster chiming in. Hi! Nice to "meet" you, future neighbor. I never heard back from the design center on if it was possible to go to other locations to view more options, unfortunately.

Are you building one of the townhouses or SFH? We're excited to move up there, but have had some hiccups. Met a couple walking around when we were driving through checking on our lot (lol) who said they were very happy with the build quality, which was good to hear.

We’re considering buying from TB when a new section opens up in one of the other Howard County locations (not Turf Valley, though I like the area). I looked online and the reviews are awful, though they are for most builders.

But then I saw a woman post complaints about the process over at the (I think it was) Willowsford community, so sounds like they do have a lot of problems across the board.

Sorry, to be clear, we've been less than impressed with another community's sales team.

They are going to have a LOT of pissed off customers if they aren't transparent about what the experience will be. People are going to show up to a trailer expecting a real design studio. They should at least offer appointments in Northern Virginia for DC-area people.

I really wish I had gone with another builder. If you are reading this and haven't put down a contract RUN.

Where are you building? I am in Mt Prospect and haven’t received this message. Regardless, I had one appointment so far in Columbia and while it was nice to see the few kitchens (I believe there were 5), we spent most of our time looking at the various sample floors, tiles, carpets and cabinets. It would be nice to have more space but I don’t think the ultimate selections experience and process will be any different. Also, there are 3 models right outside that have kitchens, basement wet bars, and bathrooms that can give you more examples.

New poster, but lurk around here for any news. (Like this, I guess, woo.) We're building in Turf Valley and got the same email. I'm a little bummed, when we built previously, going to the nice design studio was my favorite part of the process. My only real concern is there won't be the space to view full/large sized samples (like full cabinet doors, larger panels of tiles, countertops etc.). I actually emailed the design people and asked if, if that was the case, we could at least browse at the Northern Virginia location in between our first and second appointments assuming there were at least some overlapping options. I'm pretty sure I know what I want after looking at their virtual design center tours/pictures, so it would just be nice to confirm.

I saw another poster say they were also building in Howard County got the same email. Would be...odd...if us HoCo folks were getting moved down to your neighborhood and you weren't, lol.
