What makes you believe that Summer Exposure results are not counted? If so, then VLC is indeed under-ranked. In that event VLC played the Hawks twice, including in the championship game, and to get there they beat BLC and True Illinois. Summer Exposure is a Hogan event so I can’t imagine why it would not be recognized by US lacrosse.

2026 Ranking does not include Summer exposure results. I am wonder if it was purposeful left off because if it was included VLC would have ranked higher than Madlax. Playing the number 1 team twice (i.e. Hawks) would vastly increase the SOS score.

I do not think VLC is trying to be Madlax. Different clubs. VLC is moving to a more Loudoun based and western Fairfax public school based team. Madlax has practices in Montgomery county and mostly MD/Dc private school kids

I don't think VLC is trying to be more Loudon based at all. I think the talent out there is tired of Evergreen and Cavs or Blackwolf. VLC is practicing in Mclean and other places to try to attract kids from all around the area. I'd agree that there are few (or no) players that aren't from Virginia but there is a pretty reasonable mix of public/private kids.

I do not think VLC is trying to be Madlax. Different clubs. VLC is moving to a more Loudoun based and western Fairfax public school based team. Madlax has practices in Montgomery county and mostly MD/Dc private school kids

Because VLC wants to be the best club in Virginia and Madlax is its only competition. Kids outside Virginia don’t play for VLC.

I believe the 2026 rankings come out tomorrow, based on pattern it looks like the top 20 are release then the following day the top 100. The 100 2025 were release today.

There is no 2026 rankings because of how the summer played out. 25 and up enough teams played in the same tournaments that you can at least offer some comparisons, even though they are very flawed. But it is true that 26 is the weakest ML team.

The US Club lacrosse rankings are out today and MadLax cleaned up. Rankings were published for 2021 to 2015 and in those five classes MadLax was ranked first three times, second once, and seventh once. There were no rankings for 2026, where MadLax is unusually weak. So maybe Madlax does have a hand in it?
