Valid question, but I don't think the rankings apps will start over with a clean sheet at all. It should just continue on as it does and incorporate results into the rolling data window.
This would be akin to college sports like football or basketball not starting over after a season ends. Doesn’t make much sense. Each league year should be an entirely new slate. Why would data from this season influence next seasons data when most teams are completely different. Close to 50% turnover on average with the switch to SY

In a super weak conference. How did these teams do outside of the conference?
So over “the MA is weak”, “DMV players aren’t good”, “DMV coaches are washed”, “DMV doesn’t have P4 recruits”.
CSA, VDA, RU are all ranked in the top 25 ECNL clubs. NC Courage normally is too but had a bad year last year. That’s 3/10 NA teams in the top 25 clubs.
Use your google.
Agree. MA is a strong conference and the teams consistently hold their own against teams at ECNL showcases like Florida, Kansas City and Dallas. If MA were a weak conference the teams would be blown out at showcases.
NA is stronger.

There are only 10 ECNL divisions. Each division would expect to have 2.5 teams make the Top 25. So, having 3 teams is about average. It's not weak, but it is almost the definition of Average.

Unfortunately, you have to rely on GotSport which is highly inaccurate (for example Arlington 2013 RL is ranked higher than Arlington 2014 NL) or Soccer Rankings which does give points for both tournaments outside of conference and regular league/conference games.
If you look at the actual rankings app, it will say FVU 2012 #1 . Thanks Arlington Dad, we do not do gotsport rankings here.
Ranked #1 relying on one player kick and run style. That won’t cut it next season. And then MV made a blunder when adding to the 2026/27 roster. You are up for a nice surprise. You don’t believe it, just wait until next fall games. Remember this post lol.
