Curious which team (Robo, YT, Oakton) you think matches up best with BF. BF will be favorites in all three games, but what team is most likely to beat them? Last season, BF stumbled when favorites in a Saturday tournament. Robo played Madison very close and beat YT in a close one, 10-7. Oakton doesn't have any big wins to show they can play with BF. YT stuck with Robo, got smoked by Madison, and then had a strong victory against WA. My order for most likely to beat BF would 1. Robo, 2. YT, 3. Oakton. In reality, I believe BF beats Robo by 3, YT by 4, and Oakton by 6.

Give me Robo over BF, Oakton over BF, BF over YT. 2-2 for the next 4 games.

I thought there were HIPAA laws to prevent shareable information of injuries.

Now that's funny... side note, what happened to most of BF's game videos on NFHSnetwork. Are those also protected by federal legislation to prevent shareable information?

Pfft... gone, like the varsity girls games never happened, except last night's game and Osbourn Park. JV girl's games are mostly there.

I think there's a significant drop between the first tier and second, so I think Robinson will be the most competitive of the three by a wide margin.

You may be right, but Oakton and YT both played Robo close. 8-6, 10-7. I don't see much daylight in the head-to-head between Robo and the other two.

Langley likely be 3-7 after this weekend with games against Robo and BF. They appear to have taken biggest step back this season. Are they suffering from major injuries or is this just who Langley is this season?

Can’t disagree with this at all. Robo might catch them at a good time. Back to back nights after traveling to YT.

For local schools that I have seen (not including Cosby, Mountain View)

1.BF, 2. Mad, 3. Robo, 4. YT, 5. Oakton, 6. Westfield, 7. Woodson, 8. McLean

Tiers would be
Good chance of playing in the state finals: BF/Mad/Robo (very close between BF and Mad)
Good team, but not championship material this year: YT/Oak/WF
Most improved, but will lose when they play the top teams: Woodson/McLean

Great analysis. Appreciate it

Have you seen teams come out of the top 10 (in late April) and perform well in the state playoffs...or do eventual state contenders usually come from the very top of the rankings?

After about 8-10 games it’s fairly accurate for Nova. Outstate teams that don’t play the others can come from back as they don’t have the SoS that gets reflected in the playoffs. Worry less about the ranking and more look at the numbers. This year is down historically if you look back with only a few that are 80+ of the teams that usually are in the mix come playoffs.
