There's definitely d1 talent sprinkled all across the state through public programs. Doesn't really matter that much. Playing is college is playing in college so whatever the division, it's a huge accomplishment for any kid to be a college athlete.

Also for reference last season of the 20 teams that compete in Virginia independents St Stephen’s was #11 Potomac #12 Ireton #13. I don’t believe any of those teams would have won a region tournament in 6A last year.

VA public school lacrosse is very average- no reason to show how weak they are against the privates- every body already knows it.
Independence is better than 32 of the 39 privates. But agree no match for the elite privates. Most of the privates are very average with exception of the top 10 that are able to attract and recruit the top talent.
