Resulting in losing a lot of good players and parents in the process. Very sad.
Also, who is paying the lawyer fees if it was dropped vs settled. I dont know this person but do they have tens of thousands of dollars to throw around?

ML? His kids go to G'town Vis and he works in commercial real estate so I imagine yes, he does have tens of thousands of dollars to throw around but even that won't win a court case with no merit.

Is there a link to see the case that was filed?

I imagine GFR had to pay a lot of legal fees, they were preparing to go to trial and I imagine ML dropped the suit b/c the GFR lawyers were able to prove he didn't have a case worth pursuing? Not sure why else he'd drop it?

What are the 2 umbrella teams? Can those teams do guest players for each other and for GFR or truly only field usage is only overlap?

Usually the umbrella teams are established teams with a full roster and a coach that come from another club and then eventually integrate into the club that is housing them.

There are no age groups with 5 teams and several with only 1 team. Most have 2.

2011 boys has 5

It has 5 proposed. That spreadsheet isn't accurate. That was put out before tryouts and the club finding out how many players were leaving. The 09 girls also only has 1 team now instead of 2 and there are several other age groups dropping a team.

That is completely true, that spreadsheet is just the proposed number of teams. That being said, the 2011 boys have 5 teams. Three are outright GFR and two are teams playing under the GFR umbrella.

Why are the umbrella teams still around? Can’t be to play RL…right? Just to take county field space that they don’t qualify for otherwise?
